Why are we different
January 21, 2010There is one thing that I would like to put across to all the viewers and bloggers on this page. The power to make difference on your life is within you. You are not rich or poor or weak or strong because you are born that way. The truth is that you are the only reason you are like that.
Well, I know now you are trying to imagine that I am wrong, especially so if you do not like your standing. I have bad news to you. You went to same school and were taught by the same teachers who taught everyone else in your class, yet some excelled while you failed. Now tell me, is it you or your teachers to blame?
To help you understand what I am saying, I will give you a true life experience. When I was a little boy I used to think that I was very ugly because I yhought I had a bigger head than what I would have thought probable. Because of this I developed a negative attitude towards my look and in effect gotten my self into inferiority complex situation where I could not even socialise with opposite sex fellows. You see this some how hurt my teenage stage. When I joined college I found out that all boys there considered me as the most handsome in the whole school. This some how confused me because I could not fathom how I could draw attention of boys who were perfectly looking. With time this picture of myself being handsome helped me to put to rest the issue of self pitty and got confidence of myself. Soon the class teacher baptised me "ever smilling boy"
You see physically nothing changed. My extra large head is still intact today as it was ten years ago. But my attitude toward myself changed. I am not ugly after all.
You see here one person having two opposing opinion of himself and the effect they have on his life. The bible says that as a man thinketh so is he. You may be poor today but if you change your poverty mentality you will get wealthy. You may be wealthy today but if you adopt a poverty mentality you will surely became poor. The bible say that what you fear will surely come upon you and overtake you.
Let change our attitude and you know what, surely whatever man desires to get they get it. Remember the building of the tower of babel.
